I didnt use the prim eyelashes it came with. the lashes have little hearts on them. Cause of my horns. And limted attachment points.

There is 3 other versions of the skin that have eyeliner decorations but they dont have the same awesome eyeshadows. Seems like the creator makes them one or the other but not both. Such a shame. lipsticks on those are to muted also same with all their other skins, If you pick the one with the extra eye details the eyeshadow and lipstick are dull looking. Ahh joy ei ither its SL itself or just the SIM I am in Its slowly crashing. ugh. Annoying.

Anyhow I am either gonna look for more work in SL or start DJing. DJ is what I wanna do honestly but I dunno yet about paying for a stream. Hosting being a newbie host is fun and all but the pay sucks lol. The shift I work, the tips are poor so far.

Things have quieted down a bit at home. Not sure which lol.

Not much else going on really. Playing Second life gaming with M.. Oh I did get a job in Second life at one of the clubs I hang around at sometimes. Satin Dolls. I am now a host there. On friday & Saturday nights from 7-9PM SLtime. Satin Dolls

My more recent look in SL. Found Better horns spent the money on really Nice skin from LorAla Skin Store

tone 4 makeup 12. I adore it. Its my top favorite skin. The only other one I really use is a valentines gift from Laleh .. ugh trying to get slurls for you but SL is refusing to allow me to teleport anywhere. UGH!!!

Wow that time It crashed even. Anyhow I cant recall where I got the Laleh skin from and a SL Search returns DCNY CLothing co. So Off I go to see!!

Ahh yes They only offer 4 others besides the valentine freebie. Such a shame.

page refuses to let me post another pick so 2 entries today then :P

Ahh well sorry I haven't posted in a while. lifes been a bit crazy lately. My sons back in chicago now. And it was a sudden leaving so my dining room is full of his stuff. He couldnt take it all on a train. The family he lives with there just lost the mother after a long struggle with cancer so he went back for that and since the actual burial (sp?) Is taking place out of country the preperations are taking a while. Hes appling for jobs while this is taking place.

My sister in Law broke her shoulder. Aparently shattered the ball in the joint, and has to wait 3 weeks to get surgery done on it. But it turned out ok and she is now healing.

My daughters been out of school 3days this week vomiting. Some nasty bug going around has alot of kids out the office says. nausea, vomiting, dirrahea.

Been looking into the possibility of being a DJ in second life and man it looks like its gonna be costly at first. But from what I can tell average DJ fee is 2000L$ an hour so I'm considering a look for my Avatar, since shellie is a demon already I have used that as a RP reason for her being so whimsical about her looks, lol

I'm still looking for a skin that fits her better. I have 2-3 really nice ones but there not different enough. Also I'm experimenting with creating piercings, When shes demon her horns only take up one attachment on her head but if shes Neko the ears take 2 and she cant wear earrings, And you cant attach piercins to the eyes. lol well i also have eye attachments that make them glow red too. so piercings are out the question for the most part and Id like her to have a couple facial sets. One being the rough/RP/Demonic set with the spikes in the nose bridge, in the eyebrows, lip rings and a nose stud. I HATE rings in the side of the nose ugly to me! But a gem or stud looks cool. Onlyt ime a ri ng looks good in the nose to me is in the bottom between the 2 nostrils. Septum i think its called? Not sure.

The other set i want more glame looking with diamond studs over her eyebrows, nose stud, lip rings catch is making it all one attachement. So far looking around I cant find a set I l ike so I guess Im looking into making one. I have been collecting free textures and have some of my own I should be able to do it. Its just finding the time.

For some reason my legs have been giving me fits latey. I have had to start taking my diuretic again due to swelling and going back to keeping them up but its not helping much.

So far no redness yet, or heat I am trying to avoid getting to that point but 6 hours sleep they didnt fully unswell either so not sure what im gonna do yet. I may have to do a couple days bedrest bleh talk about annoying!!

life marching on

well not allot going on lately honestly, my SIL broke her shoulder and I am a bit shocked at how long the docs are willing to do nothing till after its beeen 2-3-4 weeks of it healing wrong and her being in pain. its annoying to me that they are making her wait so long.

At home been painting, almost done, once i am done then we can p ack up all the xmas stuff. we should be getting another couch soon so we will need the room.

So I decided to try a Male character on second life and so far he has worked out a bit better, seems people are more friendly to males. And of course I have been taking pics of him. http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a231/Shellie-Krys/SL/

I have pretty much worked out how to make tattoos for SL and already got XANS back worked out except the adding of color. Now i just gotta figure out what looks good on his arms.

Do Have a gripe this week though. we lost 2 pots, yes pots they both developed holes in the bottom, one melted on the burner and took out the l arge burner on the stove. But man the price of cookwear is outrageous!! I got one 21$ so far to replace one of the two. And and idea of what ones i want next. Im just affraid the one i bought is gonna turn out to be a elcheepo but we will have to see.

Keeping busy

Well Second life is starting to lose its charm a bit. LOL I can browse freebie sims and yardsales all day long and try on new outfits but the sad thing is I cannot see paying a monthly feee and or buying linden dollars for it. Sure dressing up and playing a avatar is amusing but honestly there is a serious content thing going on for me. Not having any interest in finding guys to cybersex with, means theres not alot to do other then wander sims to see what others have built.

And jobs in game are seriously limited, escorts, strippers, hosts or DJ's is it. And while I don't mind flirting with people I will NOT do escort. Watching the dancers in the club i hang out in that isnt a viable option either as they rarely make much at all. Host is an idea but I am to shy to do DJing lol even though I have enough music. But before I decide to give up second life fully I will check out some more clubs.

But the clubs has led to me obtaining more music lately. I really like a few of Ozzy Ozbournes newer songs, Suprising enough. lol Him and frank zappa did a remake of staying alive that is pretty damn good. And his Sympathy for the devil song is awesome.

I have also gotten hooked on Katy Perry lately. Her song I kissed a girl is just awesome. And I have now heard a couple remixes of it that make it even better!! (Jason Nevins Rock The Club Mix) is good. So im ooking into seeing if I wanna get the CD or not. of the original.

I have also taken back up painting again. I had some Christmas ornaments I bought like 6 years ago. LOL yea I know. And I am finally getting around to painting them. Soon as my son finds his phone charger I will snap some photos to post. They are turning out REALLY well.

My son says I should sell em on EBAY lol. Yah know if our economy didnt suck so bad right now I just might if I could find a source of unpainted stuff. Wish I could handle going through hobby lobby I bet they have tons.

Well the Doc put me on ambien the other day since I have been having troubles sleeping. And a topical antibiotic for my face. Dunno why but this last month + I have been breaking out super bad. And not normal pimple either these are the deep huge ones that hurt really bad and never truely come to a head/center. And take forever to go away. Never had this crap as a teen NO I turn 41 and I get acne! WTF?!?! He has ordered a TON of blood work though. He seems to think anemia is why I'm having issues with the cold suddenly. And honestly I wouldnt be suprised they put me on a ton of suppliments after my september episode. I am suposed to be taking a double iron dose each day. But i have droped it to one till I get the blood work results back.

I am hoping that I wont have to take the potassium anymore at least since taking one whole is impossible and breaking it in half gets caught too and the edges hurt!!

Ah well time for bed.

lol

todays snipet on the page from randy's this is true cracks me up. In case a different one shows for anyone else here it is..

Full Service
A new British mall is building in an innovation to attract women shoppers: a day care center — for their husbands. “Some grown-up men are very similar to small children, and most couples have anecdotes of their own to prove it,” said a spokesman for the Bluewater Retail Centre, being constructed in Kent. He added that the idea for the big-baby-sitting area came from “extensive research showing that 50 percent of couples’ shopping trips end in argument.” The creche features video games, televisions showing sports ...and beer. (Reuters) ...And, we hope, a changing area.

Now why cant US markets do this. LOL Man I got so frustrated christmas shopping this year as my dear Significant Other was WORSE then kids, every 10 feet he was stopping to examine something, pausing to watch tv's, game systems, browse something! We had already waited till like 2-3 am to go shopping to avoid the crowds anyhow. And I ended up calling home to ask a couple of the kids questions on sizes for things and of course he had the cell. Once I had to travel the entire length of the store to call my daughter about lipring sizes cause he wanted to watch kungfoo panda in the electronics aisle!!!

He has to stop in the toys aisle, magazines, greeting cards, electronics, ALL DVD racks, and whatever else catches his eye. Me I don't mind browsing a little bit but I would much rather get what I need and get out. That comes from years of never having money for extras.

survived another christmas!

Well another christmas gone now. And as always I ended up sick.. *sighs* Some kind of intestinal bug. I drank 3/4 of a bottle of pepto just trying to keep from the mad dashes to the toliet. In between I stayed busy a Photo shoot of my avatar in second life. If your interested : http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a231/Shellie-Krys/SL/ Been having a bit of fun online at a nightclub while still adult. They don's allow out and out xrated stuff in the main club area. They have private rooms for it. I have managed to make her look pretty, even though she doesnt look much like what the original shellie would. She is cute.

There is a graphic glitch with nvidea video cards that is MAJORLY annoying. Putting on boots or gloves often covers the entire limb which can totally ruin outfits. NONE of the workarounds work for me, pisses me off cause rolling back the video driver from 178.x series to the 175.x series can fix it. But everytime I try my computer refuses to boot into windows. And I end up having to restore the damn thing.

As I wander around I will need to save landmarks for places good for photos cause the couple of posing studios I have found so far lack in backgrounds and lighting. Lighting is the hardest part.

All the colored backgrounds are from posing booths. I dislike the solid color backgrounds as they are bland. But for free I guess I cant bitch to much. I cant really go through the miriad of clothing cause with this glitch I might be throwing away awesome free outfits. Forums say the glitch got fixed in oct. but they havent released that client yet. And no word on when that will be.

Ahh well. Having another bout of insomnia marv went to sleep a couple hours ago and here I am awake still. This is getting old. Will ask the doc about it on the 2nd when i go to see him.

The Monster moved in!!!

This is what we spent the day doing. My youngest is back on what they call homebound school. Its a couple hours twice a week cause he keeps having agression problems at school. We are looking into a full time DAY school at the mental health center his counciller is in . where he will get daily supervision by qualified teacher AND Councellers. They have daily group sesssions to work on behaviors and a max of 5 kids per class.

Been playing Oblivion lately. Waiting for my oldest to come home for thanksgiving weekend to install another harddrive to my computer so I can install the expansions for oblivion. Windows keeps having ISSUES with how much free space I have. Aparently 15 gig isnt enough for xp to function cause it keeps bitching at me! Then I will reinstall the game and see about getting some of the Mods marv has for it. Cause right now my game is dead. I have hit an game ending bug where the main quest wont advance.. period. frustrating since i have spent over a week getting to that point.

Cooking up for thursday. Going to SIL's daughters this year. SIL 2 has decided to spend it with her husbands family and refused to come to ours so SIL1's daughter is hosting. If SIL1 brings me the bread pans.

its offical

Oh yea I am offically not under the vascular surgons care anymore!! Now its the exact oposite. I think we saw 20 kids totall. Most had haphazard makeup over everyday clothes. My daughter stayed home!! Shes 16 and didn't even go trick or treating with us. I wasted like 20$ on makeup for her to zombfie herself and she stayed home!!

Its bad enough they started trick or treat at 5 pm and that 98% Of the buisnesses churches etc had their stuff earlier in the week despite the fact halloween was on a friday night. And trick or treat was over at 8pm. =/ we have gotten so paranoid with our kids halloween is becoming dull and boring. Unless you can afford to haunted house hop the week before hand. BUt only getting 1 day off work a week that isnt possible. Nor can many people afford it right now.

Good thing is gas was 2.15 a gallon today.

Has anyone noticed the disturbing trend of so called ghost shows on tv anymore?? I am watching the travel channel and sci fi and the ghost hunting shows have gotten so pathetic. The cameras are always on the so called "ghost hunters" Not on the surrounding areas. And everytime they hear a noise, bang etc they jump and scream and run like sissys. Which i think is why people watch the show anyhow. Not to see if they really do catch anything. I had a ghost push a piano into me years ago trying to pin me to the wall I would love to see a so called *ghost hunter* get that!! That would actually be a worthwhile scream and wet your pants moment!! Ghost hunters seems to be the only one who has even tried to retain a credible shred of actual seeking of the truth. At least.

I also want to apoligize to those who do read this. I know I havent posted alot recently. The whole upcomming election really hasd me in a snit. I HATE POLITICS, And having them shoved in my face now 75% of the day has put me into conversation shutdown. Each night asw we get into bed marv hitting me with the latest bullshit in politics of the day and I honestly could care less. I mean yea I would love to do whats best for my country but I am a firm believer of NOONE RUNNING is a good choice. I haven't seen anything yet to convince me either party can do a good job and I really hate to "Vote for who does the least ammount of damage" Thats bullshit. We the people of the united states of america need to do something to majorly restructure our political system. But the bitter pill to swallow is it isnt likely to happen, at least not in my lifetime I doubt.
Because I can't see major change happening without another civil war.

I never professed to know squat about politics. And I will be glad when its over. And 3 years from now everyone will be bitching about how <insert name=""> Fucked up and shouldn't have been elected yadayada yada.

I also havent been hanging around LBT much either. Sorry to everyon there. I Just have no reason to be there. I havent gotten a band. At this point I doubt I am going to get lucky enough to get it. Besides I am considering the sleeve moreso anyhow now. But its still gonna depend on my doctors. MY cardi should pass me now for it. I gotta make an appointment with my PCP for many reasons, my insurance has refused to refill my strips for my blood monitor and refused my insulin!!!
I am off 5 blood pressure meds and now only on the 2 types of insulin and NOW they decide to give me fits about the cost of my meds. When they have gone down like 1000$ per month! I don't quite understand it.
Guess we will have to see what happens.

Been playing fallout 3. Wish my computer would stop crashing. Getting annoying.
Well my feet hurt my back hurts and I think its time for bed.

Joy! I'm healing

Yea the nurse packed up the infernal wound vac today!! Its going back to the company.
My wound has gone in 1 months time from 10 centimeters long and 2 inches deep to 6 centimeters long and not even deep enough to put a q-tip in.

So now just daily bandage changes is all I need. A wet to dry is what they call it.
And now instead of comming out every day the nurse will check on me again thursday and 1-2 times a week till the doctor signs off on me. which should be on the 28th. I had to change my appointment from the 21st to the 28th due to gas $$. Friday is payday so.

I don't go back to my cardio till Nov 17th, So I need to get into my family doc before that and see if he will consider surgery for me to lose weight or if I will have to bypass him. I hope I don't have to. But will if needed. I am disturbed that my insurance has refused to pay for alot of recent happenings, like the would vac they said try conventional wound treatments first. If they woulda done that I would still have a gaping wound on my side. So I am glad they didn't.
But I feel for the VAC company who probably isn't gonna be payed. And people wonder why its getting harder and harder to find docs who take medicare/medicaid..

Things have been pretty quiet other then my healing. Boring honestly. But boring is good. Well I take that back last week Jay got in trouble in school again. He slamed a book into another kids face. I really don't know how much longer this can go on before they take him and put him somplace for violent kids. I don't think he realizes how serious this is. Cause he seems to be going off on other kids for NO reasons!! I fully expect to hear from the juvinal(sp?) probation department again soon if he can't stop this. Guess we will have to wait and see.

I'm feeling good enough about the wound thing that I think I'm gonna test the *As tollerated* Physical activity thing tonight which should ease dear Marv a bit. Poor guy has been so patient with me. *Wink* Have to see how that goes. lol

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://insideshellieshead.blogspot.com/2008/10/joy-im-healing.html' title='Joy! I start having chest pains. First time since the heart cath too. I take a nitro like I was told to. When I nneeded to take the third I am supposed to call 911, so I called Marv to take me to the ER.. Ugh! After 3 hours of them feeding me blood thinners and nitro through 2 IV"s. one in each arm they ship me off to the heart institute in Indy. OMG Talk about the worst hospital stay EVER!!!
They might get good reviews for being the best as handling heart problems. But they sure sucked on daily treatment of patients.

First the guy who accepted me on the floor when I arrived and entered me into the computer messed up my diabetes meds, totally skipping my fast acting insulin and entering in my long term insulin in at 20 instead of 80. They set me up in bed and then left the room. Much to my dismay I was hooked to a ton of monitors, blood pressure cuff left on and set for every 15 min, 2 IV's and they didn't even make sure the call button was in reach. And they closed my door totally.
So I waited for a hour + at like 1 hour 20 min I carefully got up to get the call button. And the same male nurse came in and yelled at me, for about 15 minutes he keept going on and on. I told him NOONE left me the button, he said then you should yelled. Fat lotta good that would do with the door closed!! He had me in tears.

I was there for 2 days, enzymes came back normal so it wasn't my heart. They did ultrasounds and CT Scan looking for blood clots and found no reason for the chest pain, so they sent me home. But man. I was admitted at 12 midnight, so I ended up 22 hours wi thout food cause kitchen closes at midnight and the nurses have NO Access to anykind of snacks etc. Then I think out of the 5 meals I did get only 1 was correct. all the rest were missing things I had ordered.
It took 6-8 hours for them to do up my discharge papers once the doc ordered it.
I went 5 hours the day I went home, thirsty, repeadedly asking nurses to bring me more ice water, none ever did.

Well enough of ranting about the hospital. Yesterday the nurse put back on the wound vac. After a week of wet to dry bandages I think its trying to get infected. Was starting to have greenish dischage on the bandages when changing them. But nurse said not to worry there was no odor and no fever so put the wound vac on and hopefully friday it can come off for good. Have to see. There is NO dischage at all in the canister.

Ugh Got up yesterday to a wet hallway in front of the kitchen which is right where the furnace/hot water heater is in the hallway. Maintence showed up but weren't able to fix it. So there suposed to come back this morning.
And our lovely apartment manager has decided that we have to pay for the cleaning up of the flooding of the apartment last month. Because suposedly we turned off the fans before the carpet was dry. So the Carpet cleaning guy says. I know hes full of shit cause the carpets dryed out spectaculary well and didn't even have any discoloration at all from being wet in the first place and this was without shampooing them at all. I walk around in socks ALL the time so I know when the floor is wet and when its not. But we are being stuck with a 900$ Bill for this.. Talk about bullshit.

Time to get on the move and get the HUD paperwork turned in. Maybe if we are lucky we can have a house by xmas. That would be nice.

Well its 15 after 8 and maintence isnt here yet so time to call them.

Exasperation

OK I dunno if I can make it till monday. It was the nurse on friday that just don't seem to do up my wound well. And I hurt. Even taking 2 pain pills at a time it hurts. Took a full shower today instead of the daily sink bath. Which made me feel better to a point. But does nothing for the pain.

Woke up this morning in pain cause the pills are only good for 6 hours and I had slept almost 12. Well was more to that. that just happend to wake me. One of my daughters friends was over and she doesn't seem to have the concept of keeping the noise down. I like her and all she seems to be the most responsible and level headed of my daughters friends. But shes loud.

I grouched at her a bit for it but I was honestly suprised I slept that much to start. But when you doing 3-4 hour snatches of sleep durring the week. The body catches up when it can. But I dont know if I will be able to sleep tonight. And heaven knows if I can manage the pain till mondays dressing change. I am so tempted to pull the whole mess off and do a dry dressing to give my skin a break.

Marv and the nurses say the wound itself is closing already and looks good. But the skin around it looks like hell. They are using skin prep on the skin which is suposed to be putting a layer between me and the adhesive but I'm tempted to test the skin prep someplace else and see if it might be making it worse or not. I think I will do that before bed. Try some on my inner arm or something and see if it breaks out overnight.

Well our recent addiction is Spore. It's an ok game. Marv and my son seem to really like it a bit more then me. I tend to get bored with it as soon as my races hit space which is when the game gets WAY more complex.

Heres my latest Critter. It's an omnivore and is in creature stage. So it will evolve allot more by the time the race hits space.

But the guys like playing it. I need to seriously find me something besides the Sims2 to play anymore. The message boards I frequent don't eat up enough of my day anymore. They all seem to have gotten majorly slow. Or at least I am getting bored with the topics. lol

Just a day

Well being home is I guess better then remaining in the hospital. Dealing with this wound vac can be a headache though. Today it hurts!! I am having to take 2 painpills at a time because it hurts more then normal. But since My main nurse Dee has been doing the changing it stays sealed at least. And she says she can already see visable closure on the wound. I think most of the pain is cause of my skin reacting to the film. After all my skin HATES Adhesives. Its all broke out and red.

Bought myself a new purse tonight. Not happy about that because I had to buy a HUGE one. Always hated huge purses but since I need to carry my spare blood meter and now my new novalog insulin anytime I am out I needed the space. At least this one is canvas and can be tossed in the washer. Also has a nice long strap for going over the shoulder.

I don't like the lows that the new insulin gives me at times but at least my sugar #'s are more in range now.

Have a podiatrist appointment in the morning so I'll see about ordering new shoes too need something to wear now that the weathers gonna get colder.

The whole nurse comming in every other day is proving to be majorly annoying. Since she never comes or even calls at the same time. So I end up fighting to stay awake from 7 am on till whenever just waiting for the call that says "I might be there at x time". So I think Im just gonna start going back to bed and turning the phone ringer on so I can at least get more then 4 hours sleep. I notice that I am unusually cold or at least sensitive to the cold and needing to cover up more now that I am home. I suspect this winter is gonna be really rough on me.

You know thank heavens for walgreens always seeming to have one brand or another of suppliments on buy 1 get one free sales. Since i needed to get more daily multivitamins and they have me on extra calcuim, iron and potassium right now after the blood they had to give me.

Potassium is the only thing of the bunch that is perscription covered so thank god for sales. lol

And now to go put away laundry. Had to buy some more washclothes since I had to throw out a bunch for getting raggedy.

Home from the hosptial

I am sorta glad to be home. 14 days in the hospital I was dying to get home now I am wondering if it was wise to come home now.
Ok to fill you in on the whats and whys. I went in on sept 5th for my second heart cath. And to have 2 more stints inserted. That part went fine. But somewhere in the recovery of that things went all wrong, and I started bleeding internally. They tried direct pressure which didn't work and I ended up being rushed into surgery to stop the bleeding of my artery in the groin, needing 5 units of blood and they had to drain a gallon sized hematoma(Pocket of blood).I got 2 more units of blood 4 days before I was released also for a total of 7.

So now I have a wound in my groin that din't close right, on the 5th day after surgery when the doc pulled the staples it opened back up and gushed out about a liter of fluid.
Which started wound packing. After 3-4 days of packing it with gauze etc twice a day they put a wound vac on me. Which isn't so bad. or wasn't while I was in the hospital at least. Now that I am home its frekking annoying.
They only change it every other day so a nurse comes in on monday, wensday and friday to change it. Here it is thursday and its starting to leak a bit. And I really have no way of fixing it myself. Marv might be coerced to help find the leak and put more film over it but he would be extreemly squeemish I know.
Being in my groin I can't see it myself, not sure I could handle it either. I guess its pretty deep. I can call my sister in law if worse gets to worse. I just hope I don't have to.

Anyhow they didn't send me home with any pain meds so sleeping much is not much of an option. I Have a call put in to the doctros office for pain meds but they are taking their time in replying. Plus they can't call in the same meds I was on in the hosptial. I would have to make the hour long drive to go pick it up. So the nurse is gonna try and get me something else.
I can sleep for a couple hours at a stretch but not for anylonger since moving around is somwhat difficult and painfull.
So of course my daughter has to get sick right now. I did manage 3-4 hours sleep today and ended up sleeping to late to get her into her doctors today so gotta try again tommorow for her. I think she has a yeast infection but let the doctor check lol.

So thats where I have been and what ive been up to for the last few weeks..

I'll post more later after a nap.

Stint #2 In the morning!!

well i go in the morning for my second stint. I'm a bit more stressed about this one due to needing my nitro several times this week. So I am a bit nervous. We did get a ton of running done this week and 98% of all the paperwork i gotta have for both HUD & Medicaid. Now all thats left is my birth certificate which hopefully marv will get tomorow.

Religion rant

Normally I avoid 2 topics of discussion like the plague, religion and politics. Because usually they just end up as flame wars. But I got this today and couldnt resist

Below is my reply to this email...

************************************************

I get emails like this and look at them in shock and horror!! Yes horror!! I am sad to say I am ashamed to be an american everytime I see drivel like this come across my computer screen. After all we are SUPOSED to be a race of educated human beings and not masses of herds of sheep. Or have I seriously made a mistake thinking that inteligence and knowledge would make us smarter?

The email I got:

======================================================
> We are no longer a Christian nation !
>
> Something to think about:
>
> As I was listening to a news program last night, I watched
> in horror as Barack Obama made the statement with pride. .
> ."we are no longer a Christian nation; we are now a
> nation of Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, . . . As
> with so many other statements I've heard him (and his
> wife) make, I never thought I'd see the day that I'd
> hear something like that from a presidential candidate in
> this nation. To think our forefathers fought and died for
> the right for our nation to be a Christian nation--and to
> have this man say with pride that we are no longer that. How
> far this nation has come from what our founding fathers
> intended it to be.
>
> I hope that each of you will do what I'm doing
> now--send your concerns, written simply and sincerely, to
> the Christians on your email list. With God's help, and
> HE is still in control of this nation
> and all else, we can show this man and the world in
> November that we are, indeed, still a Christian nation!
>
> Please pray for our nation!
=========================================================

The pilgrams LEFT England because they wanted the FREEDOM to worship their relgion in the way they wanted to do it. NOT How the church or royal family told them too. Anyone practising any other religions beside the royaly sanctioned Church of England suffered persecution.

OMG People!!! did you skip basic grade school history!! Our kids are taught about the pilgrims at a VERY EARLY AGE.
Then they got here and decided to set down a set of guidlines to ensure that the future generations of this country DID NOT SUFFER like they had to because their beliefs were different! Hence the Constitution and Bill of rights. Our country was built on these ideas!!

Amendment One of the Constuitution:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

===============================================
>To think our forefathers fought and died for
> the right for our nation to be a Christian nation--and to
> have this man say with pride that we are no longer that
==============================================

Thats because you are delusional thinking that we ever were a Christian nation. This is WRONG.. We are a FREE Nation. Free to decide what we want to worship. Yes a large majority of the United states of America is Christian but it is by no MEANS an a OFFICAL religion. Just because we have "In GOD We trust" on our money dosen't mean you HAVE TO BE CHRISTIAN or that it is offical. Almost all other religions have a god also. Some religions more then one even! Gasp!. The word GOD doesnt BELONG to any one religion.

I shudder to think that our forefathers fought and died for an ideal, that many people in this country cant seem to get a true grasp on. Freedom.
Freedom of CHOICE. And that includes choice of religion. Freedom to CHOSE what you want to be in life, who you wish to marry. The list could go on for days.

Now I know many people are gonna start screaming I'm against God! Or christianity or honestly <insert> But you know what again that is one of the things that makes the USA great. I am ALLOWED to have an opinion different then yours. I have nothing against religion in general personally. What I do have a problem with are people who issue such blind and blatently obvious bigoted statements such as the email I am responding to.
I get bothered when I hear my boyfriend refer to the general population of our world as sheeple. I like to think we are better then that. But the sad reality is we are just that. At least we are as long as we allow people to spread such nonsense without consequences.

I will pray for our nation. Oh yea I will. I will pray for our nation to open its eyes and see things for how they really are, for our people to see the mistakes made and in the making that pointing us in directions we will not be happy with later on. And I will pray that the sheep break away from the herd and look around.

And for those who will scream I don't know what I am talking about you can even do your own research heres some of the links I used on this topic:

Sources of info:

On the pilgrams reasons for leaving england

http://www.csmonitor.com/2004/1116/p18s02-hfks.html

http://encarta.msn.com/encnet/refpages/refarticle.aspx?refid=761557909

http://teacher.scholastic.com/researchtools/researchstarters/plymouth/

http://americanhistory.about.com/od/colonialamerica/a/may_compact.htm

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/47688.stm

http://xroads.virginia.edu/~CAP/puritan/purhist.html

http://classiclit.about.com/library/bl-etexts/esimonds/bl-esimonds-student-1-2.htm

http://atheism.about.com/library/glossary/western/bldef_pilgrims.htm

on the constitution of the USA

http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html

http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.overview.html

More specificly the bill of rights:
http://www.consource.org/index.asp?bid=574

Many names of GOD:
http://ldolphin.org/Names.html

good news or bad news unsure yet.

I am a bit excited and ancious at the same time, why you ask? Well 2+ years ago when we were living with dad and he got put in the nursing home and we started looking for a place to live. I applied for section 8 housing. I wanted Section 8 so I could choise where we lived and not the housing authority. Well Sunday night AJ said she had a letter for me from them. And low and behold they wanna interview me for the program!! Not section 8 part though. So I called and talked to the lady.

She said they don't have anything open yet but they expect to soon so they wanted to get the screening process handled. And have people waiting to get into the homes.

I chated with her on the phone today about it and we go on the 12th for the appointment but she did some of the information over the phone. She is going to put us down for a home NOT an apartment. Which is good. I would rather have a house.
I am excited because we just learned last week our rent was gonna go up another 50$ when we renew our lease in October. Which means it would be 750$ Well when you only make 1700 a month 750 is a heck of alot considering thats not including any of the utilities. So we should hope to see a nice reduction in our rent if we get on the program.

Now for the aprehensions, well Kitten is one. I doubt they will let us keep her. And I REALLY Don't want to get rid of her. So thats gonna be a hard one. Keep the cat or have more free $$ available each month. Also we don't know exactly where the house will be till one is actually open. So it might be in a horrid neighborhood. Or it could be great like the house we had on betula years ago. Yea I was on their program years ago when me and my ex were together. And we got thrown out of the program. Lots of bad things going then I was under total bed rest from doc who was threatening amputation of my leg if I didn't do the bedrest. Ex had just injured his back at work too and was on total restriction. So A friend of ours was staying with us suposedly watching over the kids and doing housework.

Well she wasn't, she was watching over the kids and cooking but she wasn't cleaning. And it was pretty bad, I would ahve been hopping screaming mad at her had I seen how bad it was in the basement. But I wasn't allowed downstairs, my bedroom was in the top floor. And doc gave me explicit instructions to go to the bathroom then back to bed. NO sitting up in bed, keep legs elevated at all times. He had hopping mad fits when he found out I had to get up and try to save my family from being thrown out. And I did but I didn't have enough help/time to get it done. 4 days wasn't enough to get the place in 100% top shape. Not by muself.

Now I have never allowed anyplace I have lived to get in that kind of shape voluntarily but anytime I have been out of comission for a long period of time the place can get pretty bad. Once since then I was hosptialized for a month and m ike & marv let our kitchen get horrible. Took me a week to get it back to any resemblance of normal. So of course that is one of my worries. The lady who did inspections then was white glove strict. Now I am not a bad housekeeper but It is not white glove clean either LOL. I have troubles with floors especially. I can't get down to bucket/brush/scrub them like I used to. And sponge mops just never seem to get em clean enough to satisfy me. But hell if they can reduce my rent enough I will hire a cleaning lady twice a year for inspections if I have to. lol
Not to mention my kids are hard on carpets. Especially since everyplace insists on light tan carpets. Which reminds me I gotta quit putting it off and break in my new carpet cleaner soon.

I'm excited about getting on the program though for several reasons, more spare $$ flow each month. If its a significant enough reduction in our monthly bills we could possibly get a better car, I could possibly get some REAL furniture for the house. Not all this mishmahed, handme down furniture. We will lose the pool, excersise room, dishwasher and garbage disposal. All stuff that is nice to have but not a nessisity.
We will also have to buy a lawnmower & weedeater. Kids and marv will NOT like having to do yard work again, I know but they will have to.

Might actually be able to have a garden. Have to see where we end up. I would love to grow tomatoes watermelon onions and who knows what else. Even if not a full blown garden a container one would be nice.

Thing is if we get a house as nice as the one we had before. Wow. it had an attached garage, 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths. Basement had a extra family room. It even had a baskeball goal in the concrete drive. It was in a quiet neighborhood, we had real asshole neighbors though but now I know better how to deal with people like that.

They would do things like wait till my son took our trash out on his way out to the bus, slip out and dump our trashcans, throw stuff into our yard, call/write and complain about us constantly. We had a really wet spring the second year we were there and the basketball goal litterly fell over cause the ground got so saturated. Concrete and all came right up out the ground, Almost hit my car too!

So we called it in and they had a maintence guy come out and take a look. He said leave it lay by the drive they couldnt do anything till it dryed up. So what do the asshole neighbors do. Call 3 times to the housing authority and complain about it.
See each time someone complains they have someone Drive by the house. They didn't think we had a right to have a sat dish. SO they are wasteing the maintence departments time by having the workers spend time driving by *troubles* they also complained cause we had lights on past 10 pm. lol !!
They wrote in cause we got in on a start up special and got instalation and first 6 months free on direct Tv. The whole thing cost us like 20$.

Excuse me whos fraking buisness is it what time we go to bed!?!? We pay for our own utilities thank you! And keep them current! At that time my computer was in the dining room so yea the dining room light and basement light was on late at night since me and the ex were up but they complained we had ALL the house lights on all night long. Its hard to belive that these people had so little to do in their own lives they constantly had their noses in ours. But they did. It was rediculious. I actually in some way hope we get that house again! LOL.

First thing I would do is put up security cameras in the garage window and on the porch. My son says he can get em for $30 each. New if they have any used less. I would also go right up to their front door and tell them point blank. That they can try to intimidate and get us thrown out again but this time I am prepared and will be documenting and filming EVERYTHING, and will be readily prepared to sue them out of their house and home for harassment and discrimination.

Heck they may not even live there anymore since the father was a GM worker, and mom stayed at home, just about all the GM jobs are gone now. Bet they both work in convient stores or something now. lol The dads parents lived across the street, and the old man was NOTORIOUS for window peeping. I can't count how many times we would catch him gawking in our windows either from his own portch or walking his dog. The living room was all you could see really from the front of the house and we rarely ever used it to be honest. The TV and everything was in the family room. So Only when we had company did we use the living room. Or getting the kids ready for school.

Ah well I'm not looking forward to moving, Its gonna take forever with marv's work schedual and my health problems. But we will do it we have to. Kitten is my own really hesitation. Shes 4 years old now and never been with anyone else. Shes a pecular cat and has some really ODD quirks. But shes part of the family too.

diabetes class

Went to my first diabetes class today, actually a more of a get to know you kind of thing, Spent an hour answering question etc. One of my big problems which the lady pointed out to me is I don't do breakfasts. Well I do in a way 4-5 hours later!! LOL.
So I need to eat no later then 1 1/2 hour after waking. She said this is one reason my blood sugars are fluctuating wildly. Its not so much what I eat cause she said Im making great choices. But how often so I need to start eating more often.
And of course since I want to lose weight eating more often sounds so counter productive! LOL. SO I guess I'll try having toast or something.

Thank god my dr.s office called today. To call in medicine for my neurapathy.

I had a hell of a time getting or staying a sleep last night as I have a new ( had it once before but years ago) Phantom pain in my left thigh. OMG It burns!! There is NOTHING there no reason at all it should hurt like this. No bruising no busted veins nothing. And the closer to morning It got the more it burned. I got up an hour before the alarm cause I couldnt take it anymore.
And Marv always plays these thunderstorm MP3's when we sleep at night, well since he has recently been reorganizing his computer one he had thought got deleted ended up on his playlist. Grrrrrr I can tolerate the thunder & lightning but not that one. I woke me up every 20 minutes I swear!! Yea yea yea I know I shoulda got up and turned it down. But when your not fully awake you dont think of it you know. I would just drift back off and curse when it woke me up again 20-30 min later. lol

This week start the august madness. Yep school registrations and stuff! Thank god school supply & uniform shopping is already done. Only if the kids have teachers that request special supplies do they need anything. We have enough pens/pencils/notebooks to burry a horse. lol.
Wal-mart had the 5-cent notebooks lie usual so this year I got 2 boxes instead of 1.

Ahh well gotta call my love and tell him to hit the pharmacy before he gets off work. And I think I am gonna try a nap.

pain

Ugh I can't believe I have to go through with another heart cath in a month. Someone please catch that S.O.B that ran me over with that truck and kill him for me please?!? Standing up or stretching out flat hurts, rolling over in bed hurts, sitting down hurts, coughing hurts!!

Its not really bad, after all they didn't even give me anything for pain. But its that sore/stiff/aching ick feeling reminds me most of the feeling you get after a car accident when your mostly just banged up. And they didn't go in under my arm after all so I am a mass of bruises in one of the most sensitive parts of my body. Oh yea and get this. I am alergic to tape. So what did they do? One the IV in my arm, tape covered the whole top lower half of my arm from wrist to elbow, then theres the like 40+ Sticky pads from all the monitors I am still finding 24 hours later.

But in order to get my stomach out of the way what did they do!? #3 4inch wide 4+ foot lengths of ................... you guessed it TAPE. The nurse started it up under my belly on the side they were gonna cut into and stretched it up and over my oposite shoulder to hold my belly up so not only do I have a wound in my right groin the entire area of skin has erupted in sores from the tape, And has another matching spot on my upper left shoulder to boot.

And I gotta go do this again in a month. Geezee. Next time I am asking for at least a days worth of pain pills. Suposed to be in bed for 3-5 days then slowly increase activity.

46%

lol so aparently I am 46% (Yankee). A bit sore but home and doing great. The heart cath turned inhto a angioplasty with a stint placement. Aparently normally they do bypass in same situtions but the doctor just decided to do a stint instead and only the one place the artery was 90% blocked. Aparently theres is at least 1 more 80% blockage I will have to go back for in a month. And the doc has added plavix to my list of daily pills.

The hospital wasn't to bad. My only real gripe that I had was the area i was in didnt have private restrooms. But when they finally did allow m e to get up and go my body sure needed the movement. Laying still for 9+ hours sucks. The sandbag part wasnt bad at all. Rarely noticed it.
But man have they got a cool kitchen setup. You order from your room just like room service and YOU Get to pick what you want. Unlike most hosptials where you get 2-3 choices. I had for dinner last night broiled chicken, broccoli, seasoned veggie m edely, a salad, diet coke and a chocolate chip cookie. Food was good! Chicken tiny bit dry but wow it all had flavor. then for breakfast I had a omlette with chedar cheese, tomatoes, onions & mushrooms, fresh strawberries, hash browns, sugar free vanilla pudding and milk. I was a bit suprised when I went to order dinner and got told I HAD to pick 2 carbs. LOL I spend 95% of the rest of my life avoiding carbs and they insisted on 2.

I dunno what the kids have been up to but the couch is now broken. Rather pissed about that sitting here its creaking to hell and I can feel a board against my back moving.

Getting AJ to drive us up & back was a godsend. For once I wasn't a nervous wreck being in the city.
I also had a rather cute male nurse overnight. lol. that takes some getting used to. But it wasn't a bad experience he was nice.

They brought marv in a nice reclining chair and then got him pillows & blankets so he was comfortable. He didn't sleep much so he is in bed now sleeping. I actually slept pretty well for being in the hosptial. Normally i fit sleep in hosptials but this time I got aa few 4+ hour stretches instead of half hour ones. But I gotta admit the nurses were fast responding to calls and didnt pester you every hour.

Aprehensive

Well this time tomorow I will be on my way to the hospital. Tomorow is my heart cath. To say I am a bit ancious is a understatement. Only managed 5 hours sleep today lol.

Been playing the sims 2 the last few days and this time I have started making my own content for the game. So far its only been a few wallpapers. but its a start!!
Bleh gotta pack a bag today, Going to have my sister in law drive us there, marv will be staying overnight with me. since he put the van in the shop on tuesday and they haven't called us yet that it is done. Her car will take 1/3 of the cost of gas anyhow.
But I hope they (mechanic) call today so I can make a quick run to the store. Almost out of cough drops. lol The whole quitting smoking thing is still giving me fits. I still keep trying to reach for my cig case. The cough drops help imensely but they drive my blood sugar up. Why can't they make sugar free ones in menthol?

My doc said I could stop the patches at anytime. But why, I mean heck they are already payed for. Might as well finish using them rather then having the boxes sitting around. Pharmacy didnt send the whole 10 weeks worth anyhow cause they didn't have 4 boxes of the 21 mg in stock so I only have 6 weeks worth lol. Well gotta go toss som stuff on to wash, and start packing my bag.

CRAVING!!!

You know if I hadn't thrown out all my ciggarette makings or had someone to bum a few off of at 3am in the morning I would be cheating on my quitting right now. I get a page typed out and lose it. *sighs*
So here we go again.

We got our government stimulus check today, so I decided to get the school shoping done early.
Not a problem for my son other then I made him come with, and his feet hurt by the time we were done.
he outgrew all his pants, undies, pj's.. at the end of the year all his pants were to short now they dont fit his waist either. LOL the 14s of last year got bagged to go to goodwill. I bought him a bunch of 18-20's and hope they least through this year. Pants have adjustable waists so I hope they will. But he needed everything shoes, socks, undies, PJ's a new belt. his school shirts from last year are still good and i got him 1 pair of pants earlier this week so it was a hunt to find him 4 more.

First gripe. WALMART had NO PJ's for boys his size. Period. None. not even sweats, so I ended up getting him some mens bottoms in smalls with drawstrings, gotta get him a pack of t-shirts later.

So I go to look for bitchzilla. I found her 2 nice pairs of white stag slacks with front pockets straight legged, never seen 4x in walmart before but I am glad. Means she could wear them properly. NOW for the gripe. She refuses to wear her pants right. She is 240+ lbs now. And has a stomach she already has the overhang pannus us fat people get. And she refuses to accept it.
I can understand her not wanting to. But the alterntive is worse. she wears her pants up UNDER her stomach. Which means that just about everything in her wardrobe BUT her school uniforms is way to small. Leaving her stomach hang out. Or her bending over and showing her ass/panties. This is against school policy.

========================================================
From the school website:

2008-2009
Pants, trousers, capris, shorts

Colors: Black, navy, or khaki

All pants/trousers/capris/shorts must be standard fit or relaxed fit, flat-front or pleated with standard waists. No cargo pants, slits, cuts, tears, or frays, (including laced sidings), brand names, slogans, or handwritten messages. Must be worn at the waist level. Size and length must be reasonably appropriate for the student’s weight and height. Must be worn as intended by the manufacturer and may not sag below the hips or drag the ground. Pants/trousers/capris/shorts may have a 1 inch by 1 inch label.

========================================================

Plus for bum around the house/sleep wear I got her 2 pairs of shorts and tank tops.
HUGE fits she threw. Slamming doors and screeching. But not a word at all the socks, undies, the locker mirror kit she asked for, or the fact I dug through the ENTIRE underwear rack to find her something NON GRANNY looking in her size.

She threw another fit cause I got her a trapper keeper for school. They have ALWAYS used the soft zippered keepers (hard binder types are not allowed) since like 5th grade. I even got them ones with the holes in em to allow for portable mp3 players to be kept inside and allows the headphones through.

Shes been extremly bitchy lately and selfish. Shes lately took to turning of the Air conditioning and letting the house get like 76-80 degrees cause shes cold. O.o because shes living in to small shorts and tank tops that dont cover her gut!!!
Then when I wake up drenched in sweat and gasping for air in 80+ degree room she wonders why she gets yelled at.

Ugh Time to go game with Marv maybe that will calm me down more.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_cZH217U-7Uw/SHQOlTpQQcI/AAAAAAAAABk/zuC-x-RtBLA/s320/congratz1.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5220813902120501698" />

Ok you can tell I got bored. It hasn't been easy thats for sure. But thanks to the patches its been way easier then past times I have had to try to quit. I guess allot of it is I got to quit this time. I do want to be healthier. And want to make it past 40. Though the temptation to just say hell with it and buy some cigs is there. lol
But the fact that I either have grocery $$ or cigarette money for this week is pretty damn powerfull too.

Ugh the patch though is driving me nuts. IT ITCHES for the first 2-3 hours after I put it on and yesterday I put my patches on my chest instead of my arms and now I have 2 big red areas that hurt on my chest. Square one from my nicoderm patch and a oval one from my nitro patch. The skins burned. ick and owwie.

Gotta go back to the doc on the 14th so I am gonna ask him for something to help with the skin breakouts from the adhesives. I've been carefull not to use the same places to often but the nicoderm patches are so huge its hard to find a place they will stay on. They aren't to flexable either so finding a spot to put them is trickey. I've taken to putting a bandaid over it most of the time after the first day the first patch litterly fell off in the shower. Still haven't found it. lol

my biggest gripe is been lack of support at home. My BF tries but he hasn't been helping. So far the extent of his support has been " I know I had to quit also" But his was totally different. He HAD a condition of his lungs. he was sick as a dog and didn't really feel good enough to continue, He could barely breath. Which is a powerfull motivator to stop smoking.

I don't get that added help. I'm fine, well as fine as I can be as heavy as I am, and feeling the effects of this pretty intensely. Times I feel it the most, after meals and when in bed at night gaming with him.

And of course my daughter is being the bitch she always is so that sure don't help. But I've gotten to the point everytime she mouths off I take away computer time. Pisses her off and she charges into her room lol.

ahh well I need to go find some breakfast so I can take my fistfull of meds. Bleh.

Breaking the addiction

Well I made it through my first day as a NON Smoker. Actually yesterday was pretty easy its this morning that is rough. LOL. My normal morning routine is a huge 32oz mug of coffee and of course a few cigarettes. I got sugar free gum, mints, cough drops, and a jar of menthol rub to inhale from to help with the menthol part of my addiction. So far sitting here drinking coffee and sitting in bed gaming with marv has been my 2 times that I really start feeling it.

Other things, one tire on the van has had a really slow leak in it. He's taken it back and they can't find the leak so we have just been living with it for now. Keeping an eye on it and keeping it full. Well it went flat on him last night. And of course today being the 4th NOONE is open. LOL

My SIL was telling me last night that at the new casino next door (the horse park recently opened a 24 hour casino) to us they are having a FREE concert tonight. One of my childhood idols is gonna be performing and I can't Go!! *crys* If I'd had enough warning to make the half hour drive to the nearest place to rent a wheelchair I coulda gone. So I guesss It's opening my patio door and hoping the sound carries enough.

Anyhow its Davy Jones from the Monkees. I adored their show growing up I was a religious watcher. To bad its not all 4 or I would go somehow. Even if i had to crawl lol!!

lol Ahh well there going to have a big fireworks show too. So at least jay wont have to miss seeing any because Marv has to work. The park is close enough we will have a great view of any of the fireworks from the sidewalk just out front of the apartment.

Man in just the few minutes I have been sitting here since I got up 35 or so) I have started to reach for my missing cig pack 7 or 8 times unconciously lol..All the ashtrays went into the dishwasher last night. I Put my case, lighter etc up out of sight. And since I rolled my own I took the plastic tuperwear containerI used to hold it all in the dishwasher also and put my roller thingy & tamper away. threw away all the empty tubes I had too. So even if I am tempted to cheat i can't cause there isn't anything here to cheat with. lol

My daughters not home either so I can't bum one off her. Shes gonna have to clean up her room too now. Gotta get carpet powder or rent a cleaner to help get the smells out.
But I am doing it!!!

Cardioligist says

Well I finally managed to get in and see my cardiologist and boy am I NOT happy. Why? Abnonrmal ECG he didn't exactly say what was abnormal about it but he now wants a heart cath done.

BUT there are problems with that.

Because of my large belly they can't go in through the groin, (BUT he did say something about the possibility of having my belly removed? Have to see where that goes) So they will go in under the arm.

We sat for a extra hour while the nurses played phone & fax tag. Since I had M.R.S.A before they wanted to get ahold of the records from 2002 saying I was cleared from it. But that wasn't possible. So tomorow I have to go and get a nasal swab done to be sure. Only when that comes back can they actually schedual the heart cath. Since its a culture test it will be 72 hours before they get back anything.

The doc wants more testing but he says at my size most of the tests can't tell him much. One of the reasons he said something about getting my large stomach removed. He was pleased that I want to get the band and mentioned possibly having both done at the same time. But he had to see just what was goin on with my heart first. Also durring the cath they will be doing some imaginging.
I also start the patch for quitting smooking too soon so life sounds like its gonna be a trip for a bit next week. Gotta take a 30-45 minute drive to the center where they want to do the cath at. I REALLY hate driving into Indianapolis. Seems the older I get the more nervious I get riding in the car, interstate/city driving utterly freaks me out anymore.

FINALLY got a accurate weight though. 6-months ago I was 440 today was 424. So there has been some loss. Just not as much as I would have liked. But I now also know of place I can go to get weighed durring daytime office hours if I need to, another office in the cardiologist building has a full blown wheelchair type scale.

Dad is in the hosptial atm we have the same cardio doc. Hes gonna have a cath also and possible stent replacement. In the morning. He started having chest pain last night. He is 82 now and had several caths. Doc was trying to warn me that dad is increasingly more negative and vocalized to him that he was ready to be done with life. I told the doc yea I knew he had started talking like that 2+ years ago right before they had to put him in the nursing home. At the time we were living with him but he refused to follow his doctors orders and refused to let me help him with much. He was already talking like that then. So for really close family this is nothing new. But I could tell the doc was spooked by it. He really does care about his patients.

So thats it. I now have 2 docs that care (FINALLY) And want to help me improve my health so only good can come from that.

Well last weeks mamogram wasn't to bad I guess. Standing the whole time was the worst part and the lady who did it although quite nice, comfortable to chat with and was very easy to work with must have been 75 and 100lbs soaking wet. lol. Still haven't gotten the results though but i gotta call the dr.s office on monday anyhow cause medicaid refused to let me try chantixx yet for smoking. They say I gotta try other methods MORE RECENTLY first. Ok so 15 years ago is to long I guess. lol.

So I get to try the patch. yea. (sarcasm)

Our cable/phone/internet has been down more then it has been up this week. Which is why I haven't posted much. Also not allot is going on really.

My rant for this week. The library. On friday evening Marv was off so we though we would take advantage of the librarys SUMMER hours. Open till 9 pm durring summer months. Nope. 5:30 on friday and saturdays o.O To be exact.
Monday - Thursday, 9am to 9pm
Friday and Saturday, 9am to 5:30pm
Sunday 1 to 5pm

Again with the stupid hours. I guess since the kids aren't in school they think no one wan'ts to go to the library on the weekends.

Now its bad enough that Marv never gets the same days off each week. And rarely ever gets 2 days together. But since lately they keep giving him at least one weekend day off we aparently have to get up EARLY to go the library. forget the fact that we might have to pay bills and do tons of OTHER running because so many buisnesses have wonky hours. Lets make life even MORE difficult for those with odd hours to get books.

Ahh well guess the kids gotta do without till tuesday. I think hes off then. Or else its one of those hell days where he has to be in at 8am.

A chuckle for today:

All hair removal methods have tricked women with their promises
of easy, painless removal - The Epilady, scissors, razors, Nair and
now...the wax.

Read on.........

My night began as any other normal weeknight. Come home, eat
dinner, play with the dog.

I then had the thought that would ring painfully in my mind for
the next few hours:

"Maybe I should pull the waxing kit out of the medicine
cabinet."

So I headed to the site of my demise.....the bathroom.

It was one of those "cold wax" kits. No melting a clump of hot
wax, you just rub the strips together in your hand, they get warm and
you peel them apart and press them to your leg (or wherever else) and you pull the hair right off.

No muss, no fuss. How hard can it be? I mean, I'm not a genius, but I am mechanically inclined enough to figure this out. (YA THINK!?!)

So I pull one of the thin strips out. It's two strips facing each other stuck together.

Instead of rubbing them together, my genius kicks in, so I get out the hair dryer
and heat it to 1000 degrees. ("Cold wax," yeah...right!) I lay the strip across my thigh.

Hold the skin around it tight and pull. It works!

OK, so it wasn't the best feeling, but it wasn't too bad. I can do this!

Hair removal no longer eludes me! I am She-rah, fighter of all wayward body hair and maker of smooth skin extraordinaire.

With my next wax strip I move north.

After checking on the dog, I sneak back into the bathroom, for
the ultimate hair fighting championship. I drop my panties and place one foot on the toilet.

Using the same procedure, I apply the wax strip across the right side of my bikini line, covering the right half of my hoo-ha and stretching down to the inside of my butt cheek (it was a long strip).

I inhale deeply and brace Myself....RRRRIIIPPP!!!!

I'M BLIND!!! Blinded from pain!!!!....OH MY GAAAWD!!!!!!!!!

Vision returning, I notice that I've only managed to pull off
half the strip. CRAP!

Another deep breath and RIPP!

Everything is spinning and spotted. I think I may pass out.....

Must stay conscious...must stay conscious. Do I hear crashing
drums???

Breathe.......breathe!!!

OK, back to normal.

I want to see my trophy - a wax covered strip, the one that has caused me so much pain, with my hairy pelt sticking to it. I want to revel in the glory that is my triumph over body hair. I hold up the strip!

There's no hair on it. Where is the hair??? WHERE IS THE
WAX???

Slowly I ease my head down, foot still perched on the toilet. I
see the hair. The hair that should be on the strip.....it's not! I touch. I am touching wax. I run my fingers over the most sensitive part of my body, which is now covered in cold wax and matted hair.

Then I make the next BIG mistake.......remember my foot is still propped upon the toilet.

I know I need to do something. So I put my foot down.

Sealed shut! My butt is sealed shut. Sealed shut!

I penguin walk around the bathroom trying to figure out what to do and think to myself.....

"Please don't let me get the urge to poop. My head may pop
off!"

What can I do to melt the wax?

Hot water!! Hot water melts wax!! I'll run the hottest water I
can stand into the bathtub, get in, immerse the wax-covered bits and the
wax should melt and I can gently wipe it off, right???

WRONG!!!!!!!

I get in the tub - the water is slightly hotter than that used
to torture prisoners of war or sterilize surgical equipment.......I sit.

Now, the only thing worse than having your nether regions glued together, is having them glued together and then glued to the bottom of the tub......in scalding hot water. Which, by the way, doesn't melt cold wax.

So, now I'm stuck to the bottom of the tub as though I had cemented myself to the porcelain!!

God bless the man who had convinced me a few months ago to have a phone put in the bathroom!!!!!

I call my friend, thinking surely she has waxed before and has
some secret of how to get me undone. It's a very good conversation starter.......

"So, my butt and hoo-ha are glued together to the bottom of the tub!"

There is a slight pause.

She doesn't know any secret tricks for removal but she does try to hide her laughter from me. She wants to know exactly where the wax is located, "Are we talking cheeks or hole or hoo-ha?"

She's laughing out loud by now.....I can hear her.

I give her the rundown and she suggests I call the number on the side of the box.

YEAH!!!!! Right!!

I should be the joke of someone else's night.

While we go through various solutions. I resort to trying to

scrape the wax off with a razor .

Nothing feels better than to have your girlie goodies covered in hot wax, glued shut, stuck to the tub in super hot water and then dry-shaving the sticky wax off!!

By now the brain is not working, dignity has taken a major hike and I'm pretty sure I'm going to need Post-Traumatic Stress counseling for this event.

My friend is still talking with me when I finally see my saving grace....the lotion they give you to remove the excess wax.

What do I really have to lose at this point? I rub some on
and.......

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!

The scream probably woke the neighbors and scared the dickens
out of my friend.

It's soooo painful, but I really don't care.

"IT WORKS!! IT WORKS!!"

I get a hearty congratulation from my friend and she hangs up.

I successfully remove the remainder of the wax and then notice
to my grief and despair....

THE HAIR IS STILL THERE.......ALL OF IT!

So I recklessly shave it off. Heck, I'm numb by now. Nothing hurts. I could have amputated my own leg at this point.

Next week I'm going to try hair color......

Eekk! A bit worried

Geeze I got up today to a voice mail from the doctors office My PCP that is. the new guy. Had my blood work done on wensday now thursday the office has called about the test results. So now I am worried!!

He ordered up a TON of blood work, checking thyroid, iron and hard telling what else as my medicaleze is getting rusty 20 years out of the nursing field. lol
Since its summer and our sleep schedual is all messed up (Went to bed at 10am this morning lol )
I gotta wait and call the office before going to bed this morning.

A mamogram was one of the tests but that one wont be till the 24th. Never had one before so should be a learning experience. lol
not looking forward to the gals getting smushed!! But hey all in the name of health huh.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://insideshellieshead.blogspot.com/2008/06/eekk-bit-worried.html' title='Eekk! Spent 2 hours on the first visit just getting the baseline stuff down. he ordered a ton of tests. Changed some of my perscriptions. And we talked about alot of things.

OMG my new doc is a DISH! LOL.

Right now his take on my increasing mobility problems/weight is that he has ordered hydrotherapy. To increase strength and stamina so that I can hopefully start getting in more daily excersise.
Not sure how often or how long the sessions are gonna be. They will call me with that soon. But its a nice step that my previous doc didn't bother with.
He's of a mind to do whatever it takes to get me moving more. I am also to let him know if I start having any new pain with the hydrotherapy too. As he will perscribe me actuall pain meds but only after the therapy starts and I am sure I will need them. Have to see.

My last weight at the old doc 6 months ago was 440. Yesterdays the nurse said it was 338?!? I did not see the #'s myself and I suspect they are off terribly as my clothes haven't gotten any bigger on me.

The nurse didn't pull the scale out of the little corner it was in so I was partially up against the wall on one side. So I suspect the reading might be off. But man that would awesome to have lost 100lbs in the last 6 months. lol but I seriously doubt that is the case, not that much at least. I know my changes in diet will have probably caused some loss but nothing that drastic.

Peeking at the computer screen the doc was looking it it said my BMI was 56.1. He saw my jaw drop look and I told him what my weight was 6 months ago. And didn't ask me to get on the scale again. Next visit I will ask the nurse to move the scale away from the wall for a more accurate reading though. It was a digital one.

Went over to the lab they have in the office for the blood draws and the nurse there was raather snarky. 10 1/2 hours fasting wasn't enough she said had to be 12+
talk about pissed, she didnt even LOOK at the 3 other sheets of tests the doc wanted done. One was a mamogram that should have been schedualed. BUT NO she wouldn't even look at the others. So I left. Now it will be another week before my BF has a day off durring the week so we can try again. ugh.

He did give me a chantix perscription (least he said he was going to) but I gotta call the pharmachy to find out why It wasn't filled or if it might not have been in the big stack of perscriptions. But thank heavens he said if something was missing to call the office. (the clinic REFUSED to do things over the phone)

I was also really nice that he remembered my BF's name and a couple other details without having a chart in front of him. And my BF's only seen him once now.

So conclusion is Everything didn't get addressed at the appointment but I expected that. I HAVE to go back in a month but I will probably make another appointment before that to address a couple of things like needing a humidifier for my CPAP.
But overall so far I'm way more h appy with charlie then the old docs.
I have no idea yet if he would approve the band. But he is at least agreeing that SOMETHING needs to be done and anything he can help with towards that goal he seems willing to do.

chemicals yuck

well I decided to buy a hair coloring kit the other day its been like 3 years since I have bothered lightening my hair. Sick of being dirty dishwter blonde at the moment and seriously considering a serious haircut. After years of wearing ponytails and buns to keep it off the back of my neck I am ready for something short and cute. Of couyrse marv is like "If thats what you want to do" But my kids don't like the idea. I guess th4ey think I shouldn't change or something. So here I sit for 45 minutes with drying goo on my head LOL. :) thank heavens it doesn't stink as bad as they used to.
Since the van is in the shop AJ is gonna drive me to the store later, also gotta ask her to run me by the pharmachy cause I have 1 nitro patch left.
James and betty sue are proud new parents of a baby boy named phillip david. 7lbs exactly and 20 inches long. So much for the doctors fear the baby would be to big lol.
Dee accidently dumped her antibiotics last night. the cap wasn't on tight so I gotta call the DR monday and see if they will call in a refill.

Zero Tollerance

Man I never cease to be amazed at the the whole zero tollerance thing that is becoming a plauge on humanity. I get the free edition of Randy Cassingham's This is True email publication. And Randy has a mad on going for ZT policies and I can't blame him at all.

Both my sons now have been victims of the whole ZT insanity. My oldest had to spend 10 days in a mental facility for pointing a wadded up piece of paper at a teacher at 12 years old. And my youngest got taken out of mainline school to months of home bound schooling after school hours to now going 3 periods a day with his own passing period because he tends to overreact when someone tries to bully him. He has been so victimized by bullies that he now responds to anything rather drasticly now. Instead of handling the bullies, he is the one who got punished. Now I Agree he actually hit someone he needed to be punished appropriately but instead they have now set him back a year maybe 2 of his schooling for a hallway scuffle.
I have to admit there is one principal at his middle school who takes bullying seriously and has tried to to put an end to it. But he can only do so much before he hits a point he can get himself into trouble.

Anyhow its a hot humid stormy day today. I would have loved to slept in but my sinuses drying out woke me up so I am up for a while till my sinuses recover enough to go back to bed. I hit it wensday and I think my middle toe is broke at least its seriously bruised. It not really painfull so It may not be broke. But it looks bad. And I can still move it. So last night I bought myself a new pair of slippers. Being dibetic I knew I shouldn't run around in my socks but I did it anyhow.

I can't wear typical womens slip on backless slippers. They seem to scrunch my toes. And get painfull, despite the fact I keep my nails trimmed well. so I gave my old pairs to my daughter. Got a pair that look like mocasins but are soft material with nice real rubber soles.

Another thing i gotta do monday is start seeing a podiatrist. Just about all shoes hurt me anymore. In some way. And I can't afford to be buying shoes over and over. Besides maybe there could be something more to help with the neuropathy I have. Have to see.

surgery aftermath

Well Dee's surgery went well. They didn't let her go till 4pm but so far it seems shes doing good. I'm a bit concerned though shes have some short bouts of nausea & dizzyness. But they only last for a couple of minutes. And black stools but i'm hoping they wont be tomorow cause if they are i'm calling the doc. She been great about taking her pain medicine even though its downright nasty we had it flavored since its a liquid and she chose sour apple. Note for the future. Skip the sour apple. lol. Hoping to hear from AJ soon, they did the drive to kokomo cause Betty Sue is overdue and her doctor was gonna do a c-section yesterday. Hopefully this will cut down on her sore throat issues and lessen her sleep apnea. I know she has it but she hasn't been tested yet. Gonna talk tothe doc about it after she recovers from surgery. See I called Marv's doctors office this week to see if they would take me. They will as soon as they show up as my primary doctor in the computer. So I called to have that changed on tuesday, done but takes 3-5 days to show up in the netwrok as changed. Wednsday we check the mail and it has a letter from the clinic saying they will no longer be taking my insurance so I have to find a new doctor!! lol.. BUT they won't give my cardiologist the referal # for me to see him and walgreens has been trying to get me a refill of insulin and the dr. office WON'T Return the damn calls. So I'm going at least a week without my insulin despite haveing full coverage insurance. Whacked huh??
I can call on the 29th to make my first appointment with the new doctor. But I found one today that REALLY was in depth, At the Llewellyn book publishers website.
Here is what it said about me:

Your Q Score is: 6
The Q score ideally should be as small as possible, indicating maximum agreement among elements. However, even a tiny Q score may not mean optimal functioning, since all four elements may in fact be relatively undeveloped.

Your Primary Mythical Creature

Earth Types
The main strength of the Earth types is practicality. The second element indicates the most probable focus for this practicality.

Centaur
Earth with Water

Astrologically associated with Virgo and the Sixth House

Centaur types are cautious and reserved but also warm-hearted, with the desire to be helpful to others in some practical way. They are attracted to teaching and the healing arts, including the complimentary varieties. The more down-to-earth, hands-on methods will be most favored. They gain a great deal of personal satisfaction and enjoyment from helping others in these ways. They are discriminating types who like to organize everything thoroughly so that they can better understand things as well as reduce the apparent chaos around them. They like clear answers, tangible results from their efforts, and they dislike ambiguity. Nevertheless, they often have an interest in the occult and are frequently very intuitive. If they do have occult interests, they are quite likely to adopt one of the more organized systems. People trust them.

Your Shadow Creature

Fire Types
All the Fire types have problems relating to anger and aggression. The weakest element indicates the main focus of these problems.

Dragon
Fire and Air

This shadow is unreasonable, self-contradictory, and expedient. Pseudo-logic and tangled references to poorly understood arguments are used simply to justify current behavior. They are conceited and think that the usual social restrictions should not apply to them. They are snobbish, arrogant, and opportunistic. Their ostentation and name-dropping indicates an underlying sense of worthlessness. They want to succeed but lack the necessary drive, so they bathe in reflected glory. In their self-defeating attempts to do this they may give up their freedom and dignity. The biggest obstacle of weak Air is to overcome prejudice and ignorance; the biggest obstacle of weak Fire is to overcome anger and aggression.
==========================================================

Can't say I agree with the shadow creature: but I guess also that is suposed to be the negative and I do sometimes have problems with my anger. Not near as much as I used to but still.

I could scream

Ok as If 3 hours wait in the waiting rooms, seeing a different person each time, flat our refusal to treat several things I have asked for, the lack of participation to obtain things through the DME, and lack of testing wasn't already bad enough . Now it seems my doctors office is toataly incapable of issuing referal numbers for specialists. May 5ths appointment with the cardioligist had to be cancles because of a referal # and now todays had to be cancled for the same thing. The clinic hasn't even returned the call from my cardioligists!! The office manager I talked with says that they had called my doctors 3 times now for me, and 2 other times because of another lady that is going through the same thing as me with the same clinic.
I am sooo pissed off right now!
ugh!! Ok try to calm down. At least the gal at the cardioligist was good enough to call me in a refill of one of the meds they gave me at the hospital. And I have 2 more refills going on my nitro patches thankfully. Its just scaring me when I get the funny feeling/pain down my arms that I had along with the chest pains that sent me to the hospital to begin with. Haven't had the chest pain again though. I need a real doctor. Obviously the clinic isn't cutting it. So tomorow after jay is off to school I'm gonna call marv's new doctors office and see If they will take me as a patient. THEN I'm calling my insurance about the poor care the clinic has provided. Since its totally against the insurances policies.
Anyhow I've been working on creating a shopping mall//town in my wow server. Using a unfinished area of the game I have been placing tents/wagons etc. to give the apearance of a traveling gypsy type group of salespeople/tradeskillers. I also downloaded a bunch of high end weapons from wow-v that I added to the server. The malss comming along nicely but I sure wish there were more little items available to personalize each tent/wagon area more. It's a slow tedious process placing each item allot of time I have to make my character tiny and fly and such in order to place items where I want them. And several of the items are openable so people will be able to make crates/barrels etc disapear but they have to be used to get the natural looking variety I am trying to achieve. I am also having trouble with the new 2.4 patch bug with some of the new items I downloded even though I haven't upgraded the server to 2.4 yet. LOL.
seems blizzard has changed the coding regarding in game items so that the grapics for the icon of the item is now seperate from the graphics of the item equiped so now many items are starting to show up with ? graphics in the backpack but working normally when you equip them. I'm not entirely sure how I am getting the bug though since my servers not been upgraded to 2.4 yet I double checked the displayids for a couple of them and they are correct. So I will either need to dig more or just get rid of the 3-4 items or try remaking them with better display#'s

Medical maladies and more

Well Marv went to the dr. friday and the doc called on saturday. We knew he had diabetes and he has been ignoring it till now. Seems its causing his recent eye problems though. That wasn't expected. The doc wants his eyes checked and to talk to a dietician. He has insulin now to and will get that as soon as the pharmacy gets it in hes on one of the pen types. High cholesterol too so he's not happy. I gotta see my cardio doc tomorow. Have to see where that goes. I hope he will help me get my surgery on the way since my damn normal doctor won't. Getting the kids ready for school atm so gotta keep this short.

living in the dark ages?!?

Ok so my BF got payed today and decided he wanted to go out and eat. Well this was 8pm on a thursday evening. Piece of cake huh, dinner rush is over and resturants will be open till 10pm right? WRONG!!
He wants to go to Applebee's but since my son needs to be home in bed by 10 no, we decide Ryan's instead, besides my dear SO is craving dinner rolls. And we don't have to wait 20-30 minutes while the food is being cooked. Another hour to eat. etc.
We pull up at 8:20 and they are CLOSED!?!? WTF!?!?
Now I could understand this if we lived in podunk nowhere. But this is the 5th largest city in our state.
Unfreakingbelievable My old favorite the Great Wall is out cause their food quality has gone WAY downhill. So he decides KFC. See if the buffet is still going. He goes in and asks and they say yes its still up. So he waves us in to get in line. after 5 min of standing in line while the cashier CHATS with 2 people I have to go sit down cause of my back. Aparently she continued to just chat casually for another 10 minutes with 4 other customers in line AFTER my SO. Boy was he steamed. So when she FINALLY notices the line and gets busy she then tells him that no more food would be put on the bar what was there is it. Ok reasonable enough.
Now I forgot to mention through all this it is raining pretty good outside so their floors are super slick. I manage to get to a seat barely. Slipping a bit a couple of times.

I find sitting in our booth that the floor UNDER the booth feels like it has been greased. But its NOT wet!?!?
So to avoid spending half the night at the ER my SO got my food for me and drink. Just as we are getting ready to leave. A gal comes out and starts mopping the floor between us and the door. *Le sigh* out of ALL THE REST OF THE eating area, around the bar, the OTHER exit and by the restrooms she has to start mopping right in front of the MAIN exit. Where we parked. The bottom of my shoes are greasy slippery now. we walked out at 9:15 and they locked the doors behind us.
Man For 13+ years I've complained about the lack of nighttime hours for a city this size but instead of them getting better they are getting SHORTER?!?!

Starting

Well I've decided one again to have a website. But since I'm not dedicating it to some silly game that I am/have been/are playing I'm not sure what the focus of the site will be but heres my first blog entry. So I can rant at will about whatever. lol
And todays rant.

Why the hell do we pay for cable tv and 90% of the time theres NOTHING worth watching on it?
I find I e3nd up watching either animal planet, discovery channel, HGTV, food network or Sci-Fi simply cause there isn't anything on worth watching. I would love to be able to upgrade to digital simply for the BBC network but I can't afford to I am SICK of reality shows, can't stand 99% of them. And all these shows that focus on idiotic people doing stupid things and label it comedy. Hell even Americas funniest home videos now focuses almost exclusively on people getting hurt. And this is funny how??? WTF is wrong with people that they think people getting hurt is funny?
Well looks like its ghost hunters for the evening Bleh
